Music: Thunder - Boys Like Girls

Today I was glad to find out that our English class got canceled. Partly because I didn't finish my homework and also because I don't think I was in the mood to listen or to pay attention. English class requires a lot of attention making, so yeah, I was too lazy for that.

I ended up going for only one class today and it was rather brief. Had a presentation and a group activity 15 minutes before class ended. Was called on to do some random story telling, as in teacher starts off and we follow with it. The story ended up having midgets, priests and little kids getting trapped in the middle of the forest. Very wild and somewhat disturbing imagination we possess.

A couple of them decided to go down to the National Library after class to gather some information we needed for another graded speech. Told you this class was such a hassle. But I'm lucky that I'm taking this during my first semester and not during my later sems. I'd die probably.

Anyway, we traveled in the pouring rain, with a manual four wheel drive, all the way down to the heart of the city.

This was the weather condition as we peeled down the New Pantai Expressway, also known as the NPE. I naturally like the rain. But here in Malaysia, rainy days are just bad because of the humidity and how much of a hassle it is to walk in puddles of dirty water, especially downtown.

Heh. Our driver for the day. He has a mini bus. Well, it's actually a Land Cruiser but we call it a mini bus. Sure comes in handy for days like this.

Before the library, he took us around Bangsar to look at haunted houses and also a Satanic church. How bloody creepy is that?! We actually drove past it and saw some weird looking things hanging from the tree surrounding that place. What the heckkk mannn! So scary.

We got to the library soon after and realized we had to register. So while Mohena registered, we took pictures.

He said he's shy. I don't believe it though. He's the loudest one in the group. And the lamest. And somehow the funniest. And probably the sickest as well.

The half Japaneseee, Sam. He's a nice guy. Easy to talk to and a future millionaire. Poor guy's been through a rough day. I hope you pull through and not be too bummed out by it :(

We finally got in and up the place where we were supposed to be. We were looking for newspapers that were dated way back to when we were born. Which means, they would probably range from the year 1986 to 1990. Oldddd, I know. Thankfully the National Library had them on microfilm, so we were able to get our hands on them!

The month I was born in! June of '90. I must say this assignment is pretty fun albeit troublesome. I got to scan through the newspaper that was published on the day I was born! Raddd.

Because they were so old and will most likely turn to dust the moment we lay our sticky fingers on them, we viewed them through the microfilm machine. It was so cool.

I see comic never goes out of fashion. Horoscopes too! Haha we were reading each other's horoscope. Very funny.

One the way back, Yuan Wei had to pick a friend up for dinner.

That's Hakim. We found out that most people like calling him teddy bear. Light-hearted guy. We ate dinner near my church, which is like millions of miles away from Subang. Had Naan, mm. Got invited to go clubbing a week from now by Yuan Wei and Hakim. Don't know if I should go and don't know what I would tell my parents. We'll see.

During the drive home, Hakim confessed that he was Jay Chou fan and started showing Whit Ni his entire Jay Chou collection on his phone! Haha it was soo funny hearing him sing along to them. Then he played Matchbook Romance's Tiger Lily and Secondhand Serenadeeee! We had our very own karaoke session in Yuan Wei's car.

To sum it all up, I think it's been a productive day. Now all I gotta do is start working on the actual speech and memorizing them. That'll be a chore.

Class at 8 tomorrow morning. Ugh, so not a morning person. Will never be.
