The long hand pointed directly still at the bold number 9 imprinted on the face of the clock on the wall. I stared at it for a good 2 seconds and exclaimed a of couple swear words. It was a quarter to noon and once again, without fail, I had managed to sleep too late in.
I had planned to be up early. Intended to get a couple of things done such as photocopy some documents and develop a few important pictures. But with me keeping up such a lazy habit, I failed to do any of that today. Evidently.
So I settled on curling up on the couch and watch Beyonce strut her stuff off on MTV. Somehow or rather, a text message from Cheryl managed to find its way to my ugly looking phone and I got to read it.
Turns out, I had plans for the day. Within half an hour, I got dressed and hopped into the car with Whit Ni. We were off to Mid Valley for the day. Picked Michelle up on the way and that was it.
Spent forever trying to look for a parking space in Mid Valley. That made all of us frustrated, especially Whit Ni, because she was the driver obviously. After 20 minutes of driving in the opposite direction and following misleading signs, we finally found a slot! Thanks to Whit Ni's very good eyesight.
Headed straight for the cinemas and got tickets for Over Her Dead Body. Movie stars Eva Longoria and um 2 other actors of whom I have no idea what their names are. And yes, I'm too lazy to do my research. I liked the main guy character. I thought he was extremely good with words topped with the right amount of pessimism.
Walked around after that. Michelle did some shopping for her friends. I was kindasorta broke. Hm. But Mid Valley isn't such a bad place to shop, I suppose.
Got home close to 6. Slept for about 3 hours after that and dang it, I burnt my tongue while taking a sip of coffee today. How uncomfortable.
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
