Strange As It Seems

Music: Top Of The World - The Cataracs feat. DEV

Boulder can be prettiest town in the world when the sun decides to come out and spill its rays all over the red-bricked campus. But on days like these, where the sun's a tease and it's more gloomy than it is sunny, being in Boulder can be somewhat dreadful.

I've been spending my days driving through Colorado mountains. Spending nights with a person I've been growing to care more about. I'm at a weird point in my life right now because I've never had to share so much of it with another person before as I do right now. I woke up one morning, startled, to see him right next to me in my cozy twin sized bed. It took me a while to digest reality and recall that of course he'd stayed the night. He's been doing so for the past week.

After that it was easier for me to just wrap my arms around his calm torso. Breathing him in and letting the back of his head tickle my nose, it was easy to note that we were both getting to know each other more. The moments are so easily frozen.

I've acquiesced that love hurts, whether it's right or wrong. Maybe if I just live for the tiny happy details that my life crosses every once in a while, it will be worth it.
