Music: Starry starry night - A cover

Devastation doesn't cut it. As I struggle to find the right words to convey my emotions into something less than the wonders of paper, I am filled with a disappointment so deep, it almost seems the word hope will cease to exist in my dictionary.

I miss them. I wish they were here. I wish they'd be here. I want them here.

All the excitement we've had prior to this are completely flushed away. I don't know why I didn't expect this, of all things. This would be the most expected scenario to happen, but I guess I was just so caught up in all the hype of things, I refused to think of the worst. Which really isn't me, being the pessimist I usually am.

I'll just pray and pray hard that things will turn for the better.

My day started out late. Of all things. Had a group meet up and at 10 and I only woke up at 9.40. This is the first time, in a very long time, that I am late. I know, it's hard to believe someone like me is prone to punctuality. I'm almost always never late for my classes. Well, one reason is because my lecturers are always so punctual. We have to be there at least 5, if not 10 minutes earlier to be in what you call the "safe zone".

So yes, this morning I was late but thankfully, my friends were saints and they didn't hold it against me. I'm sorry team mates! We'll just do the best radio show ever to make up for my lack of punctuality today.

On the way home, I got a call from Chui Nee, stating that she wanted to pass me something. I was curious and at the same time, secretly hoping she bought me an early birthday present. A girl can dream, can she not? Unfortunately, I wasn't home at the time so she said she'll just pass it to me another time. Throughout the afternoon, I wondered what it was but figured that maybe it was just some driving thing I asked from her the previous day.

I soon forgot all about it until my doorbell rang and I see Faisal and Yang standing outside my gate. Faisal said he needed to pass me something and he started handing his football bag over? Weird but I didn't catch on to it initially. Maybe there was a present inside his football. A girl is still allowed to cross the line when dreaming, okay?

Obviously I opened the gate and Yang said he needed to use the bathroom. I didn't press the matter. Yang, pork and the restroom all go hand in hand. I led in him and when I stepped out I recognized the familiar tall, skinny figure I've been so used to seeing these past two years. He flashed a smile and I was both shocked and as elated as ever.

GORDAN'S BACK!

Albeit only for 6 days, he's still back! I don't know if we'll get the chance to hang out. He seems pretty busy, like Jojo. Both the Jonathan's are highly coveted men. What can I say. It's probably in the name. Name your kid that. Well, thankfully their term ends before my birthday so that'll definitely be a chance for all of us to be together.

Other than that, I might be getting 300 bucks for translating some of my mom's work. She was too busy so she unloaded them all off on me. I don't mind. With the unexpected income, I might be doing my hair again. What say you? I say it's a done deal.

Off to watch Into the Wild now. One of the movies I've been dying to watch. I was impatient so I watched about 15 minutes of it until I realized the house was too noisy and I needed concentration. Attempt number 2 now. I have a feeling it's gonna be nothing short of amazing. Review tomorrow once I'm done with it.
