Music: Without Fear Of Their Return - Weaver At The Loom

I think it's about time I gave up on solving anymore Math problems. We're only tackling inequalities but it seems so much harder! I just can't grasp the concept. Or any of it. It's mind boggling and so...different.

Best thing is I have a test next week that will account for as a mid-term paper. Not looking forward to it.

The only 2 things I can remember from today is screwing up during choir and sleeping the moment I reached home. Our concert's this coming Sunday and we're still sounding like a bunch of monkey's with throat infections, bordering on tuberculosis. Alright fine, maybe we don't sound that horrid but I'd like to be even more harder and critical of ourselves than others. My afternoon nap was so fulfilling. Slept right pass dinner and ate cereal as a substitute instead.

At church, the common conversation between me and Caitlynn was about David Cook! He's just such an amazing artist. I honestly never followed the entire season of American Idol so I cannot vouch to be an devoted and rabid fan. Only towards the tail end, I watched his performances and like the other millions, I was blown away. Especially when he sang Music of The Night and his other first song the week before entering the finals. I gave him a standing ovation for that one.

I guess the ultimate winner came when I heard his cover of Always Be My Baby on the way home Friday night. I got home and immediately downloaded that song and that was it. I was in love. It was the entire arrangement of the song and his winning vocals that tugged every single heart string in me. It didn't matter if I couldn't relate to the song at all but David made it seem like I could. And he made it seem like the song was written for me.

He left me in a state of utter disbelief. I was of mixed emotions. Hearing him made me smile and tear up all at the same time. His raw honesty and voice that resonated through the song and out of my speakers was incredible. His vocal arrangement, so detailed- so perfect. I loved it. Every slur, every vibrato, everything. He deserved the title for he is truly a winner.

Enough of promo for David Cook. He's gonna be big no doubt and I know you guys don't need me telling you how good he is because you're just gonna see it for yourself.

But if you're not into mainstream stuff, check out the band I'm listening to. They're a breath of fresh air for me because it's different than the usual catchy guitar riffs and fast drums I listen to. They sound pretty melodramatic and draggy but still retaining the pop/rock aspect of music I'm in favor of. Maybe a little like Jack's Mannequin because of the keys but not as lively. Most of their songs are somewhat serene and it just takes your mind off to a different place.

Either way, they're worth a peek if whether you're having a blue day or not.

After having said so much music related issues, I'm now wondering if I should set up a review site for artists and songs. I just have to find enough willpower and discipline to maintain as site as such.

And face all these toxic things,
because I have finally found my bravery.
