Music: Tonight - FM Static
Continuing on from my week without the parents.
After the night of charades and no sleep, Karyn and I were the last ones standing. We hung out in my living room and practically poured our hearts out to each other. I said the most random but really honest things to her. Stared at the Christmas lights on my tree that was still lighted while watching the sun slowly pouring into the space we were in and just rambled on. Thank you, bestfriend :)
It was then also that she suddenly popped up and suggested that we go to Malacca for the day. I agreed with a half sarcasm but she didn't exactly get the hint. We ended up calling the boys who themselves barely got any sleep. I think that worked to our advantage. Adrian and Kok Seng agreed though with much skepticism. I could tell through their groggy voices.
By 12, I had picked the boys up, pumped gas into the car, drank about 2 sips of Red Bull and only caught a half hours worth of sleep. By 12:15, we were on the North-South Highway and our way down to Malacca.
Talk about spontaneity, woo! ROAD TRIPPPP!
He never identifies with sadness, ever.
"I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do..."
Lmao @ Adrian
None of them wanted to drive so it was up to me. We drove for what seemed like forever and after almost 2 grueling hours of Boney M, Love Songs and fighting to stay awake, we were thereee. And hungry too, which was appropriate when visiting Malacca.
Our symphony! haha
*excited :)
First thing was to settle our parking tickets. Adrian, living up to his name as the kid, could not wait and would not allow anyone else to touch the parking tickets. Yes, very protective over the parking tickets and insisted that he would do everything on his own.
Counting the hours on his own.
How responsible? :')
It started to rain when we arrived there, and so even though the famous chicken rice ball shop was merely around the corner, we couldn't get to it because we didn't want to get soaked or walk uncomfortably with wet flip flops :\ So we took a detour and had some "appetizer's" while waiting for the rain to subside.
Pork satay! Yum!
Only in Malacca I think.
The rain cleared up after a while and we proceeded to having our chicken rice balls!
Tasty chickenn.
Swept clean.
Super annoying sometimes D:
Once we were done with lunch and the sun was shining bright, we took a stroll down Jonker Street. Kok Seng wanted to buy one of those type tees with really obnoxious witty words written across. Stuff like "I'm With Stupid" or like George Bush featured as an ape or something. You get what I mean! haha
The front says "Smile, and the world smiles with you.."
This is the back.
Could it get more suitable for him? :)
Bumped into a high school friend, Simon.
Small world, small world.
While waiting for KS to finish trying on his shirts.
Continued to explore the place. Jonker Street had a lot of shops selling really cheap gifts. And some of them are pretty unique too. I wouldn't mind doing my Christmas shopping there! haha
Reached the end of the street and Adrian claims that the cendol there was really good. So we got in and ate again, of course.
Durian cendol
Blegh.
As long as he's happy :\
Games from my childhood!
Especially during Chinese New Years.
Was very fascinated by it.
And it was my first bubble!
We walked around for a bit more but the weather there was so erratic. It started to rain again and we got caught next to this street stall that sold handcrafted keychains.
In the meantime, we were trying to figure out a place to get satay celup. The kind keychain uncle gave us directions and recommendations! Haha.
He drew us a map!
God bless his heart :)
The sauce was super thick and after a couple of sticks, we all got kinda sick of it.
But it was a fun experience, for the sake of saying, hey we ate it! haha
Kok Seng's tourist shot.
Note: omg, Adrian has the same pose even when crossing the road! -.-
Decided to call it a day after stuffing ourselves silly the entire day. Kok Seng and Adrian took over the wheel on the way home, thankfully. Both us girls were exhausted and slept on the way home.
All in all, it was a great day. Particularly loved it due it's spontaneity and how care free it felt.
Penang next, right? :)

I thought you were a summer thing but you still strike a chord after so long. I can't help but reminisce. It's not wrong, is it? We had it good.
Let me see you again.
---
So you left. Finally? Or dreadfully? I'm not quite sure how I should respond to this. How did you respond to my departure?
But I can't say we're the same two people, can I? We've been on different pages since the beginning. I was just delusional and wrongfully thought that we had more common ground. We don't. We're different and it just won't work because I was never looking for what you were. I never will.

First resolution for the coming year:
Learn to play at least ONE song on the guitar that I can sing along to. It won't be that hard, would it? :\
