I bought myself a dream catcher today.
If you have no idea what a dream catcher looks like, here's an Internet picture of it.
Native American dream catcher
The resulting "dream-catcher", hung above the bed, is used as a charm to protect sleeping children from nightmares. "Only good dreams would be allowed to filter through . . . Bad dreams would stay in the net, disappearing with the light of day." Good dreams would pass through and slide down the feathers to the sleeper.
I don't know why I just fancy the entire idea behind this superstitious creation. It feels seemingly innocent and very childlike.
To answer possible questions, yes I have been having bad dreams as of late. They're not just usual nightmares like what I've had in the past while I was a kid, but the dreams I have now are so vivid and wild, sometimes I wake up feeling as if I have not slept at all.
It could very well be just my own partially insane mind on overdrive but I don't see any harm in trying this out. So let's cross our fingers to calmer nights and sweeter dreams yeah :)
On a much lighter note, finals are next week. (I don't see how this is light. I've just grown accustomed to using that transitional sentence haha)
I am not the least bit prepared. Well, perhaps I am prepared to be massacred. Currently, econs would be at the bottom of my list, followed by Philosophy and then IR.
I'm not excited. I don't have friends with me this semester which means I have to go through the entire ordeal alone.
I feel so lonely :(
Let it be over already so I can look forward to better things in the near future.
