Music: Swing Swing - All American Rejects
I just think the All American Rejects are such a timeless band. Like, Bon Jovi. I know you modern pop/rock haters are gonna hate me and strike me off your list after reading this.
Comparing the All American Rejects to Bon Jovi?!?! How dare you! May you burn in 80's hell for eternity. And as an added punishment, you shall wear nothing but dresses with shoulder pads and puffy sleeves! Muahahaha.
For the record, yes I do talk to myself most of the time.
Back to topic, I'm just saying their songs are really good. Yeah, maybe you get sick of Dirty Little Secret after listening to it for about 2 million times and swear not to play it ever again. But come back 6 months after that, and you'll still find yourself hooked on it like you once did.
That's definitely the case for me. Like everybody else, I grew tired of hearing the radio play the same song every hour. But I was browsing through YouTube and I stumbled upon their video, and bam! I fell in love again. It's just something about their rich sounding guitars and Tyson's amazing vocals that cut it. They'll be one of the band's that I'll keep on my list.
Last I heard they'll be touring the Canadian region with Simple Plan and Faber Drive. I don't know. I just get a little apprehensive when I read that. Faber Drive's pretty good but they're getting so much exposure now and growing really big. I guess that's how it is. Simple Plan, I guess I grew out of them. I mean, I'm still a huge fan of their older stuff especially the first record, but the 3rd album, some tracks are really good but I'm still thinking on whether or not I'll invest in it.
I'm extremely picky when it comes to spending money on albums and books. Extremely selective as well. I'll splurge when it comes to clothes and shoes, but the others? Not a chance.
My day was an average. I wasted my morning by sleeping in. Not that I had much to do anyway. Watched tv most of the afternoon and in the evening, went to the field. Got to meet up with the rest of my annoying, insulting crazy people. Didn't get to play because as usual, it was "too serious". The game I mean. So I kicked around someone else's ball with Chui Nee.
Working on yet another speech homework. This class is just taxing! And it forces me to push the limits. Think of how I'm supposed to make my speech personal enough to call it mine and interesting enough for an audience.
As you can tell, I'm not a very interesting person. *pulls of a dull face.
